Burger King execs are calling it ‘the new normal.’ Interior Designers, like Miami based designer, Elizabeth Nimni, are both puzzled and fascinated by the new contactless concept.
In Miami, fast food chain giant, Burger King unveiled their plans for an all new restaurant design. Courtesy of COVID-19’s call for contactless concepts, the restaurant in Miami will exhibit what their execs are calling “the new normal.” Will other restaurants follow suit?
Essentially, the touchless restaurant, which Burger King is currently testing out exclusively in the sunshine state, will be completely new inside and out. The interior design keeps touchless ideas into account, with guests ordering their BK via scanning a QR code in the Burger King app. Interestingly enough, there isn’t much ‘interior’ to be had with this location. Guests will park under solar panel awnings for now. But the inside is currently being worked out, with designers hinting that there may be an indoor/outdoor space suspending above the drive thru.
